New Orleans bumper stickers

Posted by schroeder915 on November 17, 2005

I think the “New Orleans: Proud to call it home” bumper stickers first appeared a few years ago as part of a Young Leadership Council (ahem … none of whom are “young,” but they sure drink like they are) campaign to raise the city’s self esteem.

Later, variants appeared in an assortment of languages and meanings.

This is the irreverent Krewe de Vieux variant.

And this is the latest edition that’s cropped up since Hurricane Katrina.

Sadly, given the appalling performance of state and local leaders since Katrina, it’s still up in the air whether or not the state will be able to shake off this attitude.

More bumper stickers here.

Great collection…as per your post above, about NOLA flags, I’ll at least check around here to see if there are any less expensive ones floating about.

Thanks Michael. I may just splurge and get one anyway.
